CHILDREN WITH HAIRLOSS When a child loses their hair due to medical conditions, such as radiation, chemotherapy, alopecia areata, burns accidents, or other medically-related issues, they are affected not only by the medical impact of their conditions, but also mentally and physically as well. Hair replacements needed are valued between $800 and $3500 dollars. Many are custom made prostheses which are made of human hair. Having an attractive head of hair that appears natural-looking allows a child to maintain self-confidence and dignity at all times.
